'The Big Plant-off' - 08 Oct 16

Yesterday's marathon planting session resulted in masses of home raised herbaceous perennials finding their place in beds ready to spring into action next year.
The ground has been dug and lightly manured, and we use mulching paper on the surface to hold back the weeds while the young plants get established.  We use a bulb planter to remove plugs of soil, and then just slide the young plants into their new home.
It's so pleasing to see these useful plants in their place...  Achillea, Veronica, Linaria, Limonium, Craspedia and Tanacetum.   Still more to go in, but think we're winning!
