Dressing the Big Top Marquee... - 24 Sep 19

Hop bines create the perfect look for a Mid-Summer Nights' Dream Wedding, softening the central framework of the marquee.  The branches of little hops trail delicately down all around the dance floor. They were grown at a hop garden on the outskirts of Heathfield, just a few miles from our cutting garden. It is so important to us that we source locally and keep the environmental impact as low as possible.
Table centrepieces were simple glass vases filled with our homegrown Sussex flowers...   fresh-cut Dahlias, Cosmos, Jasmine and Hydrangeas in whites and greens.
The Bride and her six Bridesmaids carried bouquets of scented English Roses, Hydrangea, Phlox, Dahlias and Jasmine, in whites and a little blush pink, also cut from our cutting garden just a few miles from the venue.  We cut more of our locally grown Roses to make the matching buttonholes for the Groom and his groomsmen, and corsages for the ladies.
The 5 tier buttercream cake was adorned with many more of our Roses, Jasmine, Rosemary and  Dahlias.
