This informative session held at our cutting garden, will provide all you need to know to get started on your own cutting patch, and fill your house with homegrown flowers.
Starting with a tour around our paddock, we go on to discuss layout, bed size, plant selection, weed control, cutting, and care of the patch through the year. We consider successional sowing, and selecting a good mix of plants to give a long season of flowers to cut.
We will take a look at collecting seed from various plants around the field, such as Daucus, Cornflowers, Nigella, Ammi and Sweet peas. You will be able to gather some seed for yourself, and sow them in a large module tray, which you can take home to germinate and plant out in your garden for flowers next Spring.
Cost £45 per person - including your tray of seeds to take home. Due to current COVID restrictions, we won't be providing refreshments this time, please bring your own drinks etc.
