The white ones are in the lead! - 31 May 16

Some of last years' Sweet Peas have gently self-sown in our Ranunculus bed, and have a head-start over the ones we raised from seed this year.  It seems so far that the rogue seedlings are all white, and with the usual delicious fragrance, and we are happy to leave them be as they romp through the other flowers.

In fact, our polytuunel beds seem to have developed a rather delightful and quite eclectic mix of useful annuals, alongside the deliberate plantings...    Orlaya and Nigella amongst the Euphorbia...  Cornflowers, Larkspur, Ammi and Alstromerias all jumbled together.  Rich pickings!
